Not sure about Hanz and Franz...but Mitch is here to pump (beat beat) me up!
So, I finally decided it was time to start getting my butt into gear (literally)! I asked my brother-in-law Mitch (www.mypt.ca) to give me a consultation. Truth is, he offered awhile ago but I wasn't ready yet. But my high-speed breastfeeding metabolism is slowing down and combined with my lack of physical activity and free eating...it's starting to show!Yesterday was my first session. The hardest part honestly was getting up at 7am! It was a good core workout, but combined with lots of explanation didn't feel too hard at the time. I felt it in my abs and lower back when I went to bed and this morning, but I was impressed that it wasn't too bad. This morning we did lower body and I'm feeling it! Muscle soreness and fatigue. I took a 1 1/2 hour nap this afternoon and slept deeply! The cool thing is that although we haven't even discussed nutrition yet I noticed today that I am more motivated to pay attention to the food I'm eating.
So, wish me luck on this journey! It will hopefully become a lifestyle for me.
In other news...Deyan and I are going on our first overnight retreat (since before the kids were born)! We have a nice bed and breakfast to go to. I will hopefully take some pics and post them when we return. Pray that Ionka and the kids have fun together and don't miss us too much!
I will also post some pictures of our time at Lake of the Woods last weekend. For now I need to get some rest and be ready for tomorrow's upper body workout! :)
